Residence Starokošířská

Košíře is undergoing a transformation. Streets that recently lacked a clear identity are now collectively forming a new urban district. Starokošířská street is its axis. The Residence Starokošířská completes and enhances this front. The building adheres to the streetline, respects the scale of the surroundings, and naturally integrates into the context while retaining its own expression. The vertical rhythm of the pillars and the horizontal cornice provide the facade with a proportional order derived from the principles of classical urban architecture. Verticality, simplicity, clearly readable composition.
The building has two faces, both intentional. It faces the street with large windows without balconies. It maintains the urban discipline, lets in generous light, and does not disrupt the facade line. In contrast, it opens into the courtyard with loggias and balconies connected to a quiet garden. Street and courtyard, hustle and silence, representation and privacy. Each side corresponds to where it is directed.
Forty-three apartments are complemented by commercial space on the ground floor. The layouts work with natural light and compact arrangements. The material concept permeates the building from the entrance hall to the last detail: large-format tiles, bronze fittings, reflective surfaces. Light plasters and metal elements from the facade continue into the interior. The whole holds together not through ostentation, but through thoughtfulness in proportions, materials, and execution.
Starokošířská street is finally complete. Košíře now has another piece of city that looks as if it has belonged here forever.
