Family house in Lanškroun

Family house in Lanškroun
Project:2005
Completion:2006 - 2008
Built Up Area:100 m2

The house is located in a newly developed purely residential area. The investor's requirement was a small energy-efficient house “for retirement.” The key task was to design a house that provides maximum privacy and intimacy. Since the location of the house itself does not offer privacy, the house creates an intimate space in the form of an atrium between the garage with a workshop and the house itself.
Upon entering the house, we walk along a covered walkway past the workshop with the garage and covered parking towards the house and the living atrium. The small house for an active retired couple consists of two rooms, a living area with a kitchenette, and the sanitary and technological facilities of the house.
The house’s structure was built using a lightweight assembly system known as Two by four. The façade and outdoor walking surfaces are made of natural larch, with the garage cladding constructed from Cetris boards.
