A house in Olešek near Prague. The idea of a simple, compact house open to the garden, facing the sun, and introverted towards the north. The approach and entrance to the house are from the east, and the outdoor living terrace is towards the garden. Next to the house, there is a garage structure that shields the terrace from the street and also creates a yard in front of the entrance. The southern façade is a screen of windows and stone pictures framed with wooden frames. A bit of Japanese inspiration. The sides and the back façade of the house only have window openings. They are designed as a combination of fixed glazing and openable squares alternately placed next to or above one another, as required by the room they illuminate. A large stair window opens the interior of the house to the surrounding fields and meadows. Around the house is a soft wave of a concrete cornice connecting the line of the garage with the austere house, covering the entrance space of the yard and simultaneously the main living terrace.
