Two-Storey Villa Prague-East with Connection to the Garden
The villa is characterized by a simple rectangular shape both in plan and in views. The entire concept of the building is based on two main parameters.
One is the relatively narrow plot of land, and the second is the view of the landscape.
These criteria give rise to an interesting modern appearance and add quality aesthetics to the house. The villa is designed to optimally utilize the connection with the adjacent garden. This connection is particularly noticeable at the intersection of the two basic masses of the building, which define the space of the outdoor terrace, living room, and the open kitchen area inside.
The connected terrace, living room, and kitchen together essentially make up half of the ground floor area. This central moment of functional division is open to both the garden and the interior of the building, thus responding to the need for views of the surrounding landscape.
The landscape thus becomes a kind of backdrop for the client’s garden. Large windows and sliding doors allow easy and smooth access to the outdoor space. This gives residents the opportunity to enjoy pleasant outdoor activities, as well as a broader context of rich nature.
The effect of integrating the landscape into the interior spaces is even more apparent on the upper floor, where the children's rooms are primarily located. Thanks to the elevation, they have a broader view and can easily look out into the surroundings.
The plot gave us a distinct limit in one direction. In width. The building responds to the narrower plot, which manifests in a slightly elongated shape. For simplification, we can say that the villa appears rectangular in plan.

The interior of the villa is spacious and welcoming.
The connection between the internal and external environments is key to creating a bright and airy interior space.
The open floor plan allows for flow between individual rooms and creates a sense of spaciousness. This is most prominently manifested at the mentioned intersection of the terrace, living room, and kitchen.
Here, a central hallway opens up, which serves as the main corridor from the entrance whether by car or on foot. The master bedroom is tucked away to provide the best conditions for quality sleep. It is directly connected to the bathroom, adding to the comfort, and if one wants to easily become productive, it is simply a matter of crossing the hallway to the study.
It is easy to reach the second floor through the unobtrusive staircase in the living room. This complements the wall and is practically bent into an L shape, taking up little space in the rooms it pertains to. For example, it partially reduces the volume of the technical room, which is essentially a minimal issue.
On the 2nd floor, there are two children's rooms and a bathroom. Both rooms feature balconies with a southern exposure. Technically speaking, the building could expand one of the balconies into a generous roof terrace if that were part of the brief.

The garden is an important part of the project.
The villa is integrated into the surrounding environment through its main spaces and offers residents a beautiful view of greenery and nature at all times of the day and in all seasons.
The rectangular plot fortunately has a clear north-south orientation.
In a longitudinal direction, it essentially follows these important cardinal directions. That is why the house is, for example, perpendicular to the direction of the midday sun. This facilitates working with light and heat from this essential source.
The living room, kitchen, main terrace, pool area, balconies—all face directly south.
It can be said that thanks to this, Villa Třemblat seems to be bathed in sunlight at any time of the day.
The surroundings of the building are truly rich in natural beauty, including the aforementioned wealth of light. The neighboring open plots enhance the views and the feeling of spaciousness in the garden. The terraces and relaxation areas are an ideal place for relaxation and gathering with family and friends. The pool is in the sun for most of the day.
Overall, it can be said that this two-storey villa is a modern home that offers not only space for comfortable living for the whole family but also a quality connection to nature. This architectural project is a great example of how to elegantly combine the interior and exterior, how to derive the main principle of the layout from simple masses and shapes that simply yet effectively create a harmonious and pleasant home.
