The motto is ARCHETYPE: foundation and analogy in geometry, the family seat and tradition. The client's interest was to build a family residence in a beautiful location with a view of the Špindlerova Kotlina. The task was to design a house that would withstand generations with its durability and form. The owner, the founder of the family cottage, will live here, with the understanding that other family members - children and their children - will visit their parents. In winter for skiing, in summer for cycling. Love for sports is one of the reasons for the whole family's gatherings. The plot and regulatory possibilities were so tight that the villa, with a footprint of 150 square meters, had to have several floors. The ground floor made of stone masonry is a local tradition and serves as the house's support; it is a symbolic solid foundation. The main living floor, the heart of the house, serves for the parents' residence. This level is transparent around the perimeter for wide views. The attic is designated for accommodating children, grandchildren, or family visitors. It is entirely self-sufficient. The external form of the house is classical and is based on the traditions of local multi-storey vernacular buildings. It is horizontally divided into a plinth, living floor, and steep roof. The individual elements on the façade borrow from these traditions but impart a different meaning and function. Traditional boarding in the gable has newly gained the function of a solar screen. The entire structure, although it appears to be made from classical materials, is built solely from reinforced concrete and steel elements. Neither the structure nor the façade use wood, although it may appear so at first glance. The house, with its form appearing historical, fully utilizes modern materials - aluminum, concrete, glass, and steel. A symbolic expression of the essence of family is the analogy of forms in basic geometry, which is reflected in the expression of the house. The prominent triangle of the gable and the circle as the eye into the landscape. The dominant mass of the chimney is a reminder of the original building.
