Pripravovaná súťaž: Southbank Bratislava

This location is one of the most valuable plots suitable for construction in Bratislava, primarily thanks to its position on the southern bank of the Danube, its proximity to the historic city center, and the new downtown developing on the opposite side of the river.

Bratislava has long been planning the transformation of the area between the two bridges on the southern bank of the Danube into a new city center. This area is considered strategic in terms of the city's development plans with the aim of creating a compact city by the river.

The main goal of the project is to create a new central urban district connected to the already emerging downtown and to link the banks of the river, of which the southern bank is currently significantly underdeveloped. The purpose of this competition is to find a suitable and functional urban concept with excellent and unique architecture, landscape architecture, and public space.

We believe that our project – defined by its location and scale – has strong potential to become the most valuable extension of the city center while also being an attractive and comfortable place for living, work, and leisure.

- February 27, 2023             Presentations of the designs of the second round participants
- February 28, 2023             Announcement of the competition results

Prize:
Each participant advancing to the second round who submits all required documents and presents their proposal to the jury is entitled to a reward of €30,000 (excluding VAT)
