The exhibition takes place under the patronage of the Minister for European Affairs, Mr. Associate Professor PhD Mikuláš Beka, Ph.D. The exhibition will showcase the integration of visual art into public space since the late 1980s when art globally began to leave gallery and museum spaces and started to create new visual and social connections in the broader context of landscape, urbanism, and discussions about the quality of public space in urban agglomerations. This project will map the "Czech situation" from the time of normalization, which began in the late 1980s, to the present of post-industrial capitalism in the "post-truth" era. It will draw from the exhibition Public Space CZ, which the Jaroslav Fragner Gallery prepared in collaboration with the Institute of Art History of the Czech Academy of Sciences and under the curatorship of Professor Petr Kratochvíl in 2017. The developments in the territory of the Czech Republic reflected or will reflect the global transformation of visual art and visual culture, responding to new geopolitical and social connections and the economic materialization within private sector investments. ► Start: 30 June 17:30 moderated discussionMarie Foltýnová, Radek Horáček, Petr Kratochvíl, Jan Stolín, Kateřina Štroblová, Denisa Václavová 19:30 performanceDarina Alster: I-t’ing enquiry ► book launch, commented tour, presentation of the document by Jan Strejcovský "From the Gallery OUT!" / August 4 at 19:00
