HELUZ IZOS is the largest manufacturer of insulating glass in the Czech Republic. In addition to thermal insulating glazing, it also supplies acoustic insulation and safety glazing. A significant part of the portfolio consists of design processing of glass – from ornamental and colored variants through sandblasting, digital printing to complex interior glass elements.

The original company IZOS was established in 1992 when it started operations in Žatec. It later expanded production with facilities in Plzeň and Sudoměřice nad Moravou. In 2021, it became part of the HELUZ GROUP.

HELUZ IZOS owns the most modern manufacturing technologies; the lines in Žatec and Sudoměřice are fully automated, including the storage and production of oversized glass formats. In combination with the use of materials from renowned global manufacturers, HELUZ IZOS products achieve high quality and their parameters meet the most demanding European standards. As a result, HELUZ IZOS glasses are trusted not only by customers in the Czech Republic but also in other countries in Europe.

Thermal Insulating Glazing

HELUZ IZOS is developing an innovative concept for the design and realization of glazing in the Czech market. It is based on the idea of utilizing the advantages of different types of glass, particularly concerning the orientation of the building to the cardinal directions.

IZOS ENERGY+

The glazing, consisting of three panes of glass and two spacer frames, boasts an extremely low heat transfer value (Ug = up to 0.5 W/m²K) and, conversely, a very high solar factor g = 0.62 (62%). The high sunlight transmittance ensures high solar gains during winter, which helps with heating and reduces energy consumption. ENERGY+ is the ideal glazing for the south, east, and west sides of buildings in passive and nearly zero energy standards.

IZOS SHADOW

The triple glazing IZOS SHADOW comprises three glass panes and two spacer frames. It excels in its ability to block sunlight. It is primarily intended for locations where the situation does not allow for the installation of shading technology. Due to its extremely low heat transfer value Ug 0.5, it is also suitable for large format windows. Particularly suitable for passive, zero, and nearly zero buildings. Recommended for glazing surfaces facing east, south, and west.

IZOS TRIPLE

It consists of three glass panes and two spacer frames. It is suitable for glazing plastic windows, wooden windows, and aluminum structures. With a heat transfer value Ug of 0.6 to 0.5, IZOS TRIPLE contributes to energy savings in the building. At the same time, it still allows sufficient light transmission. The parameters of triple glazing meet the requirements for new buildings, meaning zero, passive, low-energy, and energy-saving buildings. It is also suitable for renovations with a significant reduction in energy demand. Recommended for glazing surfaces facing north.

Edge Grinding

One of the services offered by HELUZ IZOS is edge grinding of glass. This process removes microcracks that occur when cutting flat glass, making them less prone to damage during handling and subsequent insertion into frames. Flat glass, thanks to the processed edges, is much more resistant to temperature changes and reduces the risk of breakage caused by thermal shock.
The glass processing takes place on a top-notch automatic line, which gives the ground edges a matte appearance.

Acoustic Insulation Glazing

In the field of acoustic insulation glazing, the company ranks among the leaders, in part due to its emphasis on precise measurement, certification, and an individual approach to projects. Unlike standard calculation methods or generic data from technical standards, HELUZ IZOS prefers physical measurement of acoustic parameters on real glass samples. This creates a verified database that provides accurate and reliable information on the sound insulation of various types of insulating glass – from basic double-glazing with an Rw value of 31 dB to top solutions with sound insulation of 52 dB. This database is constantly being updated and serves as a valuable tool for window manufacturers, designers, and construction companies in designing building envelopes.

IZOS Design

The IZOS Design product line represents a technologically advanced way to give glass a unique visual expression without compromising durability. Digital printing with ceramic colors directly on the glass pane, subsequently fired at high temperatures, ensures a permanent decoration with color stability even under UV radiation, temperature fluctuations, or mechanical stress. Printing is possible at a resolution of up to 1440 dpi in 4K quality, on glass sizes up to 2400 × 4100 mm and thicknesses of 4-19 mm, including irregular shapes. Patterns can be selected from an online library or designed individually – even using AI.

A new product offering is enamelled glass, whose production technology involves applying ceramic paint using roller technology, which is then tempered at approximately 630 °C. The result is a smooth, hygienic, and extremely durable surface with a consistent structure. The colors used contain no heavy metals or VOCs, ensuring health safety and environmental friendliness.

IZOS Protect

An important part of the offering is the IZOS Protect range – this is key for architects looking for new options for designing glazed structures with high safety requirements. IZOS Protect offers a wide range of safety glazing that allows for the realization of bold architectural elements, such as walkable glass surfaces, glazed staircases, railings, roofs, or elevator shafts. Thanks to the use of laminated safety glass (VSG) and heat-strengthened glass (ESG), high mechanical resistance, burglary protection, and the required level of protection against falls, impacts, or penetrations can be achieved.

Glass Selector

The Glass Selector is a web application designed primarily for window manufacturers, designers, or architects, providing a highly efficient database containing the most commonly used HELUZ IZOS glazing. Currently, it includes 99 combinations of glass. The selector always contains the most up-to-date data and offers very quick and intuitive filtering of glass based on specified parameters (product line, Ug, SF, Rw, burglary resistance…). The selector allows comparisons of up to four types of glass and facilitates a clear export of the comparison to PDF. A significant advantage is that it is integrated into the HELUZ GROUP toolset – so designers can utilize comprehensive support during the project documentation phase. In addition to the IZOS glass selector, the HELUZ construction selector also includes a gallery of CAD details. The selector provides window manufacturers with quick and clear information regarding manufacturing options (such as overall glazing thickness, size, or weight).
