From the perspective of building design, it is becoming increasingly important to consider the fact that modern architecture is moving towards a significant increase in the share of glazed areas on façades. This trend, supported by demands for natural lighting, visual contact with the exterior, and aesthetics, brings increased requirements for the acoustic properties of glazing. Large-format windows and glazed walls represent, from an acoustic standpoint, potentially the weakest point of the facade. For example, the IZOS Triple Acoustic glazing with 8, 4, and 4 mm glass panels meets the requirement for sound insulation higher than 38 dB while exhibiting an excellent thermal transmittance value of Ug = 0.6 W/m²K. The use of glass panels of 8 mm, 6 mm, and safety glass VSG 44.2 ensures, in the case of IZOS Triple Protect Acoustic glazing, air sound insulation of up to 45 dB.
