Revitalization of the area around St. Anne's Chapel near Pelhřimov and its restoration

The goal of the competition is to find the most appropriate solution for the revitalization of the surroundings adjacent to the Baroque chapel of St. Anne near Pelhřimov and a suitable way to restore this cultural monument, which will highlight the monument's value and the cultural-historical development of the area while also supplementing the site with additional necessary functions. The revitalized public space should sensitively respond to broader relationships and potentially contribute to their cultivation over a longer time horizon.
The client divided the addressed area into phases 1 and 2:
Phase 1 - Proposal for the revitalization of the surroundings of the early Baroque chapel (addressed area – part A – with an area of 2490 m2).
Phase 2 - Proposal for a suitable form of restoration of the monument-protected chapel in connection with the adjacent revitalized surroundings (addressed area – part B – with an area of 1350 m2, built-up area of 100 m2).
Both phases must be realizable independently and must function even if one part is not implemented. The competition proposals will serve as a basis for negotiations with the National Heritage Institute regarding suitable approaches to the restoration of the chapel.
