Competition: FC Barcelona Stadium

The transformation of the FC Barcelona Camp Nou football stadium into the most modern stadium in the world has begun. Over the next few months, architects from around the world will have the opportunity to submit their proposals for the major reconstruction of the stadium, which will celebrate its 50th anniversary on September 24 of this year.

The goal of FC Barcelona is to obtain the best proposals in an open two-round architectural competition. The organizer of the competition is FC Barcelona, supported by the Catalan architectural association (Association of Architects of Catalonia), which will oversee the selection of the architect or architectural team for the subsequent project preparation.
The deadline for the first round, from which 5-10 competitors will advance, is April 10, 2007. Participants in the second round who meet the competition conditions will receive 40,000 EUR.
