As part of the Wood Building Fair, which will take place at the Exhibition Grounds in Prague - Holešovice from March 1 to March 3, 2007, the second year of the Wood Building Salon will be held, which is a unique event aimed at supporting high-quality modern architecture of wooden buildings and constructions using wood in the Czech Republic.

Visitors to the Wood Building Salon will have a unique opportunity to see during the several days the latest realizations from the top in the field. Architects and studios whose completed projects could be seen here last year, such as Petr Lichnovský, Domesi studio, Atelier Klanc, New Work, or Archteam, will be presented, and we will also encounter new works by architects Vladimir Balda, Pavel Mudrík, Kamil Mrva, Martin Janda, or the Projektil studio. A total of twenty quality wooden buildings will be presented, among which family houses prevail.
However, the Wood Building Salon is not just a quality architectural exhibition; it also offers lectures by exhibiting architects Martin Rajniš, Josef Smola, Tomáš Klanc, Josef Horný, Pavel Horák, and Václav Zahradníček. These lectures will be divided into two blocks, which will take place on Friday, March 2, and Saturday, March 3, in the afternoon hours.
The Wood Building Salon is therefore a showcase for both the general public and professionals. It will provide a layman with an overview of wooden building architecture and thus assist in decision-making regarding a partner for the design and realization of their investment project (whether it concerns a family house or a larger construction). For professionals, it will expand horizons in a little-known area of architecture and may even bring new inspiration.
You can visit the Wood Building Salon from March 1 to March 3, 2007, at the Exhibition Grounds in Holešovice as a main accompanying program of the Wood Building Fair 2007 (more information at www.salondrevostaveb.cz).
