UHLÍK ARCHITECTS

"We want to create a better environment for living. The goal seems simple: to build a simple, smart, perfectly functioning house, with good space, at reasonable costs, where people feel good. A house well integrated into the surrounding environment. However, achieving this is not easy. The house is transformed by the rapid development of technologies, complicating things. Just keeping all the parts together, in balance, is a challenging task. Finding appropriate forms for new needs, materials, and technologies while preserving the essence of the past.
"Culture is maintenance." Values from the past must be protected and built upon. This is the most responsible task. We also focus on detail, but it must be in balance with the building. We consider it important to maintain common sense and detachment. Listening carefully to the client must not just be a phrase, but a method of work, a cornerstone of design."
