Friday Shop in Zurich by spillmann.echsle

In the vicinity of the planned Primetower skyscraper by Gigon/Guyer, another tower has temporarily risen from Annette Spillmann and Harald Echsle. The 26-meter-high tower, located by a busy Zurich highway where up to 10,000 trucks pass daily, consists of 17 rusty shipping containers. For a period of 5 to 10 years, it will serve as a store for Freitag, a company that produces backpacks and bags from used truck tarps. Not far from this location, the company began in 1993 and still maintains its production facilities nearby. The unconventional store will offer over 1,600 unique backpacks across four floors.
