Once the builders complete the new World Trade Center tower, it is expected to measure a total of 541 meters. This is enough for the title of the tallest building in the USA only if the 124-meter-high antenna, which will be placed on the roof, is taken into account. Without the antenna, it will be "only" the second tallest building in the United States. The Willis Tower (formerly Sears Tower) in Chicago is indeed taller.
