Paris - The "Paris Twin Towers," which are to be more than 320 meters high, are two identical towers in the Paris district of La Défense that the French branch of the Russian company Mirax intends to build in a North American style. This was reported by the AFP agency.
    The Hermitage branch recently submitted an application for a building permit. It hopes to receive it in February 2011 and start construction in July or September of the same year. The towers designed by British architect Norman Foster are expected to be completed for use in 2016.
    According to AFP, these would be the first high-rise towers in France that would simultaneously feature offices, shops, and apartments. "I want to devise a new concept by creating a favorable environment aimed at attracting large companies, wealthy tourists, and French citizens to the La Défense district," explained the head of Hermitage, Emin Iskenderov.
