Richard Rogers is set to receive the Golden Lion at the Venice Biennale in ten days. Additionally, two of his latest buildings have made it to the shortlist of six nominees for the Stirling Prize, which is supported by a fund of £20,000. Furthermore, the list includes the names of two young firms, another icon of British high-tech, and the first lady of deconstructivism, whose building is the only one among the nominees not located on British soil.

- Barajas Airport by Richard Rogers Partnership
- Brick House by Caruso St John Architects
- Evelina Children’s Hospital by Hopkins Architects
- Idea Store Whitechapel by Adjaye/Associates
- National Assembly for Wales by Richard Rogers Partnership
- Phaeno Science Center by Zaha Hadid Architects

Last year, the award was won by the Scottish Parliament in Edinburgh from EMBT Arquitects. This year's winner will be announced live on October 14 on Channel 4 (by the way, this building also comes from Richard Rogers. A review is already in preparation). Info>
