The architectural walk has been prepared by architectural historian Martin Strakoš in cooperation with the Antiquarian and Fiducia club. It will begin at the railway station in Český Těšín, from where the group will head to the Polish historical part of the city. Moving past the Avion café, they will proceed to the Těšín castle, where participants will be able to see the remains of the local castle and rotunda, an interesting example of the reconstructed oldest monument in the city. From the castle, they will then head to the historical core of Těšín and present the streets and squares as well as the most significant sacred and secular buildings from Gothic, through Baroque, Classicism, Historicism to Art Nouveau. In the afternoon, after a lunch break, the group will continue exploring the buildings of modern Český Těšín. Participants will take care of their own meals and transportation.
