The fifth edition took place in March in all cities with architecture education in the Czech Republic for the first time on a single day with a uniform assignment defined by the forum for architecture and media 4AM.
A total of 61 teams participated, of which 11 advanced to the national round and then had a week available to finalize their projects, from which a jury composed of judges from individual cities and authors of the assignment selected the winners.
The jury included, for example, Kamila Amblerová, Michal Krištof, Helena Doudová, David Mikulášek, Adam Wlazel, Kamil Mrva, and others. Superstudio is a team idea competition for architecture students regardless of their year or school, and team members may also include students from other university fields. It takes place non-stop over 24 hours, and the participants learn the theme only at the start of the competition.
This year's assignment was: Choose a specific building (or a set of buildings) located in the territory of the Czech Republic, which is a maximum of 70 years old and whose current use is problematic in the city/landscape in the near future according to you. Propose its conversion for more suitable use.
