Workshop

The HORIZONT VAM association, engaged in the creation of the Wallachian Architectural Manual, aims to support all previous efforts for the preservation and revitalization of the Krásno train station in Valašské Meziříčí, which has long been pointed out for rescue and restoration.

In this context, the HORIZONT VAM association will organize several accompanying programs, through which the association targets an open discussion with the general public.

The first of these will be a workshop titled "What will be here?" intended for families with children, which will take place on Saturday, November 15, at 10 a.m. "The inspirational workshop will take place both near the historical building itself and in the museum workshop of the nearby Kinský Palace," says the workshop author Jitka Petřeková, who has long been engaged in the interpretation of architecture and heritage care.

The works from the workshop will subsequently enhance the atmosphere of a lecture by architect Ondřej Tuček, the author of the reconstruction of the Prague-Bubeneč train station (Station 6). "Tuček's successful revitalization of the train station can serve as an inspiration and model for how the old Krásno train station could look after reconstruction," outlines architect Jana Vencálková from HORIZONT VAM, who coordinates the lecture. The attendees will be introduced to the history of the original Krásno train station by city heritage protector Mgr. Petr Zajíc. The lecture will take place on Wednesday, November 19, at 5 p.m. in the Kinský Palace in Valašské Meziříčí, the seat of the Museum of the Wallachian Region, to which we thank for enabling this event.

We thank the Pauli winery and the construction company AR WORK, as well as all the friends and supporters who assist us in this endeavor.
