Příbram has started the reconstruction of the community center

Příbram - Last week, Příbram began the reconstruction of the cultural house with a theater and cinema. The work is expected to be completed by September 30. The start of the new theater season, which was postponed to October due to the reconstruction, should not be jeopardized, said Deputy Mayor Ivan Šedivý to reporters today.
The council also selected a supplier for new seats in the theater's auditorium this week. From five offers, the committee chose the company Interside, which has committed to manufacture and install the seats by the beginning of October. They will cost just under two million crowns without VAT.
The initiation of the cultural house reconstruction has been accompanied by complications. The company that won the tender withdrew from the competition. The town hall ultimately signed a contract with C-klima, which came in second. Its bid was one million crowns higher than the winning company's bid of 13.9 million CZK without VAT. Including tax, the reconstruction will cost just under 18 million crowns.
The reconstruction will involve heating, air conditioning, electricity, and the refurbishment of restrooms. The town hall will finance it through a loan. However, the building's renovation does not end there; in the future, windows, entrance doors will need to be replaced, and the facade repaired. But this will depend on the availability of funds.
The Příbram cultural house was built according to a project by architect Václav Hilský and opened in 1961. Since then, it has undergone virtually no changes and has not undergone any reconstruction. In March, it was declared a cultural monument.
