Kitchen Monument is a unique urban and architectural concept by the significant Berlin artistic group Raumlabor. It will be presented to the Prague public for the first time at the Street For Art festival. Kitchen Monument is intended to be the focal point of the festival as the essence of sociological and philosophical interpretations of the phenomenon of public space. Thanks to its unique construction, which "emerges" from a small metal box into a transparent "bubble," it allows the boundaries between what is inside and what is outside to be disrupted - it is a safe space for organizing a neighborhood feast for local residents, while also allowing passersby to peek inside and connect both worlds.
The presentation of the Kitchen Monument project integrates the festival into the truly European context of the "A Soul for Europe" project and significantly contributes to the discussion about the phenomenon, qualities, and use of public space in the Czech Republic.
