Rychnov nad Kněžnou - Today, Rychnov nad Kněžnou received a new swimming pool from the builders for approximately 170 million crowns. An Open House Day will take place on Friday afternoon, and the facility will be open to the public from Monday, August 16. This was stated by Miroslav Richter, the deputy mayor of Rychnov.
    "The pool in Rychnov has been missing until now; talks about its construction have been ongoing for almost 30 years. In public opinion polls, 82 percent of the city's residents demanded its construction," Richter said. The town hall believes that there will be a great interest in water fun under the roof.
    The new pool, located in the former factory complex of Prefa, will offer visitors a 25-meter long swimming pool with five lanes, a whirlpool, a 65-meter long slide, a children's paddling pool, and a pool for mothers with children. The pool will also offer special courses, including swimming for infants, exercise, and swimming for pregnant women, as well as swimming for seniors.
    Adults will pay 80 crowns for an hour of pool access on weekdays, and it will be five crowns more on weekends. For children under 10, an hour of swimming will cost 50 crowns on weekdays.     In Rychnov nad Kněžnou, there has only been one hotel pool; residents had to travel to nearby towns for water fun during winter, such as to Dobruška. In the summer months, people in Rychnov can use the natural swimming area in Včelné.
