Skanska wants to build a thousand apartments in Prague's Malešice

Prague - The company Skanska Reality has purchased land for the construction of nearly a thousand apartments in the Prague district of Malešice. This was reported today by the server E15.cz. They aim to obtain a building permit by the end of 2018. Skanska acquired a seven-hectare plot with an old industrial complex from DBD Group. No price was disclosed by either company.

According to the documentation submitted by the developer for the environmental impact assessment (EIA), the planned buildings will likely have a gross floor area of over 86,000 square meters, and the tallest buildings will have 13 floors, the server reports. In addition to residential buildings, plans include the creation of a park. The existing buildings on the site, which are in a dilapidated state, will be demolished.

"We are currently focused on designing a high-quality urban solution for this originally industrial neighborhood," said Naďa Ptáčková, the CEO of Skanska Reality, to the server. The company is now preparing materials for the zoning decision.
