Dear friends,
twelve years have passed since the first sketch of the Chapel of Our Lady of Sorrows in Nesvačilka, and now I would like to warmly invite you to its consecration, which will take place on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at 2:00 PM, on the Day of Liberation, a day of rest. There will likely be a good crowd on-site, so it's better to arrive early.
Bus from Prague:
I have decided to arrange a bus for 60 people from Prague for those interested.
Departure at 9:00 AM from Florence - we will specify the exact location.
Return around 10:00 PM back to Florence.
We prefer to allow some time considering the condition of the D1 highway.
We would make a brief stop in Brno around 11:30 for a walk or a snack and continue to Nesvačilka no later than 1:00 PM.
I cannot estimate the exact duration of the event.
Afterward, we might take a walk up to the Výhon hill, where there is a nice new lookout tower with a view of the chapel, and then head back to Prague at a leisurely pace.
For those who will travel on their own, there will likely be plenty of cars on-site, so do keep some buffer.
