Tesco has completed the renovation of the Máj department store

Prague - Tesco Stores Czech Republic has completed the reconstruction of the former department store Máj on Národní Street in Prague, which will reopen under the new name My on September 21. This was reported today by Eva Karasová, spokesperson for Tesco Stores Czech Republic. Tesco will release further details next week.
    Tesco began the reconstruction of the department store on Národní Street in June of this year, primarily updating its interiors. The department store on Národní Street has been designated a cultural monument; however, according to heritage conservationists, this did not prevent its renovations.
    The assortment at the Prague department store My will include classic and trendy clothing, cosmetic brands, children's clothing and toys, as well as household goods. Some fashion and cosmetic brands will be available exclusively at the My department store, which includes a Tesco supermarket.
    Tesco Stores started the reconstruction of its department stores last year. The first one under the name My opened in Liberec this February. The Prague My will be the second in line. Tesco currently operates six department stores in the Czech Republic and has a total of 125 stores in the domestic market.
