Beroun

Beroun - The developer group Crestyl is preparing the construction of a new residential complex called Berounské stráně. It will contain 621 apartments with a total area of 48,000 square meters. The total project costs will exceed 2.2 billion crowns. The first phase of construction is expected to be completed in 2010, said Omar Koleilat, the general director of Crestyl, to ČTK today.
The new residential complex Berounské stráně will be located near the center of Beroun on previously unused land enclosed by Talichova and Bezručova streets. The designer of the building is the Italian architectural office Mediapolis, which designed Prague's residential complexes Podbaba and Podvinný mlýn, among others.
Crestyl has been operating in the Czech real estate market since 1996 and is among the leading developers with a wide portfolio of residential and commercial projects. Currently, it operates in more than 14 locations in the Czech Republic, with total investments exceeding one billion euros (approximately 24 billion crowns).
Interest in housing in Beroun is growing, even though the prices of family houses, building plots, apartments, and market rents are still increasing. In the last three years, 1,000 residents have moved to the city. Currently, about 18,000 people live there. The Beroun city hall expects that another 5,000 people will move to the city within five years.
