Bruntál

Bruntál - Bruntál has started the reconstruction and extension of the covered swimming pool. The repairs will cost approximately 140 million crowns and the renovation will be the largest investment project in the modern history of the town, said Jiří Ondrášek, spokesman for the Bruntál city hall, to ČTK.
The city has managed to secure a grant from European funds amounting to 60 million crowns for the renovation of the facility, and the remaining part of the costs will be covered by a loan that they would like to repay within ten years.
"The currently closed pool was quite outdated and did not meet current requirements, not to mention it was relatively expensive to operate, which will change with the reconstruction," Ondrášek stated. He added that the reconstructed pool should expand the range of leisure activities in the region.
The new center is expected to include a number of attractions such as a slide, water jets, or whirlpools. There will also be attractions for children, and the facility will include a gym or a restaurant. First visitors are expected to visit the reconstructed pool next summer.
