Prague - In the former premises of the Aritma company in Prague-Vokovice, Crestyl will build 18 apartment buildings and six family houses. The city district of Prague 6 will contribute five million crowns to improve transport and public space. In addition, it will build a kindergarten for 48 children, which will be transferred to the ownership of Prague 6 after approval. Both parties confirmed the intention with a written agreement.
"As soon as possible after signing the memorandum, we will start negotiating the specific terms of the contracts," said the deputy mayor for urban development Jakub Stárek (ODS). The kindergarten should be approved no later than together with the first building of the project.
"It is expected that construction may begin during this electoral period," said the spokesperson for Prague 6, Ondřej Šrámek. The investor has already submitted an application for a zoning decision and will subsequently apply for a building permit.
The residential complex will include an underground parking lot. The developer did not disclose the number of apartments or parking spaces in response to CTK's inquiry. "Everything is currently in the preparation phase. The entire project is being addressed in accordance with the urban study prepared by Prague 6. We respect both the required size of the buildings and all transport solutions for the area," said the spokesperson for the Crestyl group, Ondřej Micka.
The congestion of Vokovická Street, which is the main traffic artery in the area, has been a topic of discussion in the past with the presentation of the plan for residential construction as part of the metropolitan plan. The houses will be built on the site of existing warehouses with high traffic load, Šrámek noted. The city district has, however, found a solution to relieve Vokovická Street. It wants to make Na Krutci Street one-way, depending on the future widening of Horoměřická Street to two lanes towards the center to Evropská Street.
The company plans to directly connect the residential complex to the Šárecký forest. The area will feature green spaces predominantly with pine trees.
