Vrbno pod Pradědem - The Town Hall in Vrbno pod Pradědem in the Bruntál region is preparing a reconstruction of the cultural center. The building of the former Club of the New Materials Warehouse was purchased by the city from a private owner last September for nearly four million crowns. A museum is to be created in part of it. This year, the city wants to complete the project documentation. This was stated by Deputy Mayor Pavla Müllerová (ANO) to ČTK.

"The building itself, dating from 1929, is in quite decent condition. The interior, on the other hand, is devastated," she said. She added that this year's budget already accounts for the funds needed for the project. Overall, the city anticipates investing around 20 million crowns into the reconstruction.

Partially, it plans to obtain subsidies for the construction work. "At least for insulation and the installation of a heating system," she said. In the future, the building, which a private owner used for organizing discos until 2002, is expected to continue serving culture and social events. The town hall anticipates that its cultural contribution organization will take it under its management.

"Balls, theater performances, and concerts should be held there. We also want to have a restaurant there. However, we would rent that out. In the attic, we want to establish a museum. There is currently no museum in Vrbno pod Pradědem,"
said the Deputy Mayor.
