The multifunctional hall in the area of the primary school on Purkyňova Street serves athletes in the city, but it is maximally utilized. "As the only one in the city, it offers the parameters necessary for organizing larger sports events and competitions, although its facilities no longer meet today's demands," Jurka mentioned. According to him, other gyms and the hall in the park above the athletics oval are similarly constrained. The lack of facilities for spectators also disqualifies it from competitions.

The new hall is to be built next to it. The playing area of 46 by 26 meters will be able to be divided into three smaller areas using mobile partitions. The plan includes 12 changing rooms for athletes, a medical room, and changing rooms for coaches and referees.

"Next to the sports area, there will be a storage room for equipment and a small exercise room. The second floor, which will be accessible via two staircases and an elevator, will include facilities for visitors," stated the deputy mayor of Vyškov, Roman Celý (KDU-ČSL). According to him, the design includes a stand for approximately 330 seated spectators. Viewers will also have a view of the playing area from the buffet.

Once the study is completed and approved by the city, the preparation of project documentation and the acquisition of a building permit will follow. This will take approximately one year. The estimated costs are between 150 and 200 million crowns. "When financing, we would probably go the loan route. At the same time, we will also try to utilize available off-budget sources,” added deputy mayor Karel Goldemund (the VY association).
