The Liberec studio with the Swedish name Mjölk is coming to Zlín to present its short yet intense existence.
Their projects feature a readable concept, lightness, and perspective, as well as an effort for a design expression that is not as strict and uncompromising as is often the case with many buildings in the Czech Republic. The houses are kind to the landscape, characterized by a thoughtful internal space with an emphasis on the lives of their inhabitants. Equally interesting are their projects in public spaces aimed at improving the quality of life in cities. The public sauna at the Liberec dam is well known, as is this year's ice shelter for skaters. The initiative behind the assignment, problem definition, and solution seeking is typical of the young generation of architects who are returning to the Czech Republic with foreign experience.
