The third part of the series on the connections between architecture and public administration focuses on the topic of competitions. Whether it is public or invited competitions, competitive workshops or dialogues, the competitive selection mechanism generally leads to the emergence of good architecture. During the lecture and subsequent discussion, representatives from several interested parties will present their experiences with competitions: Karla Kupilíková, landscape architect from the Platform for Public Space, who has gained exceptional experience in preparing competitions and realizing their outcomes at the Karel Komárek Transformation Foundation, architect Miroslav Vodák from the CBArchitektura association, which has long and systematically focused on competitions, and architect Jiří Opočenský from the ov-a studio, which is making a name for itself on the Czech scene also thanks to successes in a number of competitions.
Admission: 50 CZK
Organized by: Grow Space, z. s. with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic, the city of Plzeň, and the Czech Architecture Foundation.
