Winy Maas – MVRDV: "The Tireless Optimist"

One of the leading architects of the world-renowned Rotterdam office. Author of the pavilion at the World Expo in Hanover and many unconventional projects around the world, such as the Mirador residential block in Spain, GYRE shopping center in Japan, and the Hageneiland residential complex in the Netherlands, among many others.
In addition to realizations, he is also a significant educator at several outstanding schools of architecture, and he enjoys working provocatively with quirky statistical facts, which then serve as a basis for his original utopian projects.
