Not always do we have to invest huge sums to feel better in the city. Architect Igor Kovačević will present successful examples of temporary implementations.
A series of lectures at Sdílko on the topic of public space and architecture. Sdílko also focuses significantly on the theme of public space. Visitors will have the opportunity to attend six debates with architects, historians, or experts on public space. Throughout the duration of Sdílko, there will also be an exhibition mapping various transformations of Poruba.
Modern cities perceive that it is important to offer their residents the most attractive environment possible. They do not want to be just a space where one moves, but also a place where one stays. Therefore, they strive to change their appearance, but the time required for such steps is immense. Sometimes it is not even appropriate to come up with a definitive solution, and just a short-term experiment with a space can bring valuable experience and an enjoyable time for everyone.
Forms of temporary use of public space, with which Poruba itself has experience, will be presented by the deputy mayor of the district, Zuzana Bajgarová. Architect Igor Kovačević will then showcase two Prague projects he was involved in - Magistrála = New Prague Boulevard and Creative Viaduct.
