What are the themes of young architects' creations? Do they think similarly or do their motivations rather differ? Can they stand in the context of contemporary European architecture? The project preliminarily maps the emerging generation of architects within the Central European space. The city of Brno is designated as the starting point for observation, understood as a distinctive province in the geomorphologically open corridor Krakow-Ostrava-Brno-Vienna-Bratislava-Budapest. The introspection seeks to uncover the present creative motivations of young architects from Brno and their potential to transcend the boundaries of a provincial city. An integral part of mapping the local scene will be its confrontation with architects from outside Brno, who may have a certain relationship with the city (were born, grew up, studied, or worked here). The project is prepared in collaboration with the civic association Kruh from Prague. More information >
