Shota Tsikoliya
COLLARCH

Continuing the series of lectures Go Digital, we would like to introduce you to an architect and the youngest associate professor of digital architecture in our country.
MgA. Shota Tsikoliya, Ph.D, M.Sc. (*1991) graduated from the University of Stuttgart and the Prague College of Applied Arts, where he currently serves as an assistant professor in the Architecture III program and within the international CIEE program, he lectures on Science, Engineering Technology in Global Architectural Design. He leads and co-organizes various workshops focused on innovative technologies in architecture. During his doctoral studies at the College of Applied Arts, he defended his dissertation titled Computational Methods in Contemporary Architectural Practice: Emergent Architecture. Shota completed an internship at the Danish Academy of Arts, School of Architecture, and from 2014-15, he studied and worked at the University of Stuttgart as part of the Institute of Computational Design, where he participated in the realization of the ICD/ITKE Research Pavilion 2014-15. In collaboration with offices in Prague and Berlin, Shota gained extensive work experience on various award-winning projects.
I met Shota in 2016 at the workshop Santini's Language where I invited him as a tutor. Shota is among the most interesting young architects who have direct experience with contemporary digital architecture, which he practices, teaches, and challenges.
Shota currently works at UMPRUM and ARCHIP and is part of the COLLARCH team.
