MONOBRAND s.r.o.

Meet the Belgian brand prado, which provides pure solutions for embedding home technologies into ceiling constructions for exclusive interiors. The unique concept of purposefully connecting and jointly storing multiple home technologies in meticulously crafted modules and their subsequent embedding into ceilings and ceilings significantly contributes to the unspoiled cleanliness of interiors. “For most architects and investors, lighting is the only thing they want visibly hanging from the ceiling – not ventilation, cameras, or motion detectors,” summarizes the mission of the prado brand Thibault Renson, the company's CEO. A global unique offering is the solutions that combine, for example, light with a motion detector or light with a fan into one mounting unit. In practice, this means that architects and interior designers can display only what they want to showcase, while cleverly hiding what they need to conceal within the ceiling's structure.

Unique Puzzle

The foundation for storing individual technologies by prado is always a mounting unit made with perfect craftsmanship from high-quality anodized aluminum. A selection of surface finishes and color variations includes black, white, brushed gray, and brushed stainless silver. You can also choose from various shapes and sturdiness of the mounting units, from solitary pieces that are more or less acknowledged and visible on ceiling constructions, to solutions for complete embedding and concealment within ceiling structures. Once a specific type of mounting unit is chosen, you can start selecting technologies. Naturally, there is the option to choose only one technology – for example, independent lighting, fans, or motion detectors. However, what differentiates the prado brand from others is precisely the ability to select and connect multiple technological modules into one mounting unit – typically lighting with a fan or lighting with a PIR sensor, which also controls it based on whether it detects motion in its field of view. “In addition to the aesthetic cleanliness and design minimalism of these solutions, there are other benefits that cannot be overlooked,” explains Katrin Grund, founder and owner of the concept store MONOBRAND. “Combining a light fixture with a motion sensor or fan not only accelerates installation but also contributes to sustainability and environmental friendliness: it means fewer materials, fewer cables, and ultimately lower energy consumption for operating these home technologies,” says Katrin Grund, who discovered the prado brand for the Czech market and is among its official distributors.

Light + Ventilation

A combination of a ceiling light with an integrated fan. It allows for a perfect concealment of ventilation ducts while overall suppressing the disruptive impact of technologies that are visibly placed on the ceiling. The result is our quieter homes.

Light + Motion

This product line combines a ceiling light with a fully concealed motion sensor that controls the light fixture. The light turns on when you are in the area and turns off when you leave.

Light only

prado has a lot to offer in the field of interior design even if you are only considering lighting and do not need to integrate other home technologies. “The proven technologies of the brand for complete embedding of lighting into the ceiling are tempting, but I personally also like many product lines that acknowledge the lighting. The prado fixtures are characterized by simple yet thoroughly thought-out shapes, minimalist colors, quality materials, and thoughtful surface treatments,” reflects Katrin Grund. “Among my favorites of late is the acrotrack series. It features very flexibly adjustable light sources mounted on a console. The number of individual fixtures on the console and their arrangement and aiming is highly variable. I would also like to highlight the fully adjustable acrojack mini fixture – it handles a vertical adjustment of 90° and a horizontal one of 360°. It provides up to 1000 lumens and is available in 4 different beam angles. The recessed glass lens delivers an amazing lighting experience without glare. It comes with an invisible suspension and I personally enjoy it in interiors,” adds Katrin Grund.

Security pradocam

Security cameras, easily interchangeable with light fixtures, are available in both acknowledged and recessed designs. They are compatible with the security system and smartphone, ensuring your safety at all times.

Strong Alliance – prado and rond

The vision of prado to work on simple and clean solutions pairs excellently with the philosophy of rond – another Belgian company whose founder, Bart De Backer, decided to change the world of sockets and switches for the better. At that time, he introduced a groundbreaking concept for switch design, declaring the frame unnecessary. For its further development, the rond brand team sought an experienced partner to elevate the technological solution of embedded electrical installation elements to an even higher level. And they found an exceptional ally in prado, which has extensive experience and know-how in this field – prado has been providing pure solutions for embedding home technologies into ceiling constructions for years, while rond does the same for walls. And since the brands prado and rond are now interconnected personnel-wise, they also share a common perspective on design, have the same materials and surface finishes in their portfolios, and overall, their combinations in interiors complement each other wonderfully.

The mission of prado is to work on design-purist solutions that will make our home interiors more automated and aesthetic. The unique method of integration and hidden installation of home technologies finds application worldwide, especially in more luxurious residential and hotel projects.
