ACUTEC s.r.o.

The young and successful company ACUTEC has quickly become a leader in the field of acoustics, setting new trends. It is no surprise that their activity is expanding, as evidenced by their recent opening of a branch in Slovakia. We asked Lenka Lajšová about the new expectations and plans, who, as the sales director, is responsible for all activities of this branch.

The field of spatial acoustics is currently very innovative, with many interesting materials available on the market. However, it is quite rare to find a professional company that can combine individual materials well and, most importantly, recommend the right and functional solutions. ACUTEC is also a company that imports a wide portfolio of materials focused on architectural interior solutions. Their expertise is confirmed by completed projects, including the Hyundai manufacturing plant in Nošovice, offices for Lufthansa, Heureka, and the design and equipment of the DV-TV studio. An example of exceptional collaboration is the acoustic adaptations for the national heritage site Pivovar Lobeč, where all materials had to be functional as well as meet period requirements.

It is no surprise that the interest in their services and materials is also present in Slovakia. We took the opportunity to ask about the plans and expectations of sales director Lenka Lajšová, whom we caught in the unconventional co-work SPACE-UP in Bratislava, where acoustic adaptations are currently taking place.

Lenka, what have your previous work experiences been?
I have been working in a sales position in the field of services and interior realizations for more than 8 years. I have had the opportunity to experience both the Slovak and Czech markets, which differ significantly from each other. However, in recent years, I have been exclusively focused on acoustic solutions in offices and have had the fortune to represent a Slovak manufacturer of acoustic zones abroad.

Why did you choose ACUTEC?
Were you intrigued by the opportunity to develop a new project and be part of it from the beginning?
I first met the guys from ACUTEC in Germany at the ORGATEC fair. Our first meeting was unforgettable ?? The guys are a lot of fun and are also professionals in the field of acoustics. When Stando told me his plan to open a branch in Slovakia, I couldn't refuse. ACUTEC is growing at rocket speed, they have a tuned portfolio of world brands, and most importantly, they have rich experiences that I am sure they will be able to leverage here in Slovakia as well. It will be an honor for me to be part of it right from the start, and I am very much looking forward to it.

Acoustics are trendy right now; what do you enjoy most about this field?
Yes, you are right. Acoustics are currently an essential part of every interior. Today's trend is minimalism, which causes problems with echoes. I enjoy how playfully and aesthetically we can incorporate various materials and elements into an interior that suddenly becomes a pleasant and beautiful environment for everyday life. Many acoustic materials are made from recycled PET, which is also beneficial for our Mother Earth.

What are your plans for the coming months, and who is actually your ideal client?
The first few months will definitely be mainly about meetings with interesting people from the field of design and interior realizations. The whole world needs to know that we are also in Slovakia and we are ready to support projects right from the very beginning. We are not afraid of challenges, and we are going full throttle from the start. An ideal client for me is one who is open to advice and trusts us :-)

We meet in co-work SPACE-UP; what are you preparing here?
SPACE-UP has attracted us from the beginning with its unconventional, sometimes even punk atmosphere. It is a group of young people just like us, who are not afraid to turn their ideas into reality. Currently, we are improving a few spaces in terms of acoustics here. We are all looking forward to this collaboration. ACUTEC has thus found its new home in Bratislava, where our clients will be able to stop by for a good coffee and feel various acoustic materials in reality.

So, it is actually ideal when you present your materials and how they really work.
In similar projects, you certainly know how to advise and propose solutions as well?
Yes, you captured exactly what we want to achieve. Clients will best understand how acoustic measures work if they have the opportunity to enter an untreated room and then one that has undergone acoustic modifications. Only then will they feel the incredible difference, and sometimes it takes so little ?? That's exactly what our meetings at SPACE-UP will be about. Of course, we do. We have an experienced team of experts who will assess the spaces from a technical standpoint and always come up with a solution. We do not look for how things cannot be done. We look for solutions. We know materials well enough that we know which ones fit best for the given issue and have a strong effect, but we also always think about ensuring that they fit design-wise into the concept of the given project.

What can be said in conclusion?
I would say only that this is not an ending but a beginning ?? I am very much looking forward to meeting new people with whom I will have the honor to collaborate, and I believe that there are also beautiful projects waiting for us here.

As can be seen, and especially heard, acoustics is truly a field that is experiencing a new phase. If you are dealing with a project where acoustic measures are needed, you can turn to the professionals at ACUTEC, which has just opened a branch in Slovakia. They exclusively represent and import European manufacturers who are leaders in the field. You can choose from a variety of materials, from Heraklith boards, wooden slats, and metal ceilings to award-winning panels made from recycled PET. Their products have received many awards. Their unique approach allows them to provide suitable advice.
