Architects must confront the technical challenges of the times and the growing demands of investors. Short construction times and increasing connectivity among all parties involved require quick action. Continuous availability of information is now considered standard. This also applies to construction.

Clients, designers, and all other parties involved in the construction process are working to ensure and enhance the quality of their projects through transparent and rapid communication. Technology offers all possibilities - from mobile devices to cloud platforms. So why not take advantage of this? Why shouldn't information that can be exchanged within seconds via email be processed within seconds as well within the digital model? Software manufacturers have already met the necessary requirements.

The information and evaluation possibilities provided by 2D drawings increasingly fail to meet these demands. Digitalization allows for the exchange of information anytime and worldwide. Current plans are available at any time through a 3D model. The experiences gained through the use of 3D models in engineering and the automotive industry can be applied in a nearly identical manner in construction. This technology is already established and proven. The added value is quite clear. The transition from 2D design to 3D design brings a lot of benefits.
