BREAKFAST AT ARCHTILES – PHOTO REPORT

The last week of May at the Brno and Prague ARCHTILES SHOWROOM was dedicated not only to ceramic products but also to fragrant pastries, home-grown eggs, fresh juices, and excellent coffee.

More than a hundred architects, interior designers, and other guests accepted the invitation to a traditional Czech breakfast featuring sausages and rum raisin cake. An unnamed architect from a studio in Holešovice noted that, unlike traditional evening presentations, he remembered a lot from the breakfast in the following days as well. Moreover, he didn’t have a headache.

“It was an interesting event with pleasant service and refreshments, where I combined the enjoyable with the useful,” says Marek Hlisnikovský, the managing director of Beta, and continues: “I needed to select mosaic for a steam cabin and investigate suitable flooring options for our counter-current pools. In the end, I found not only slip-resistant tiles but also Brazilian coffee and apple strudel.” Architect Josef Mrázek from Zlin suggested that next time the event could be improved by serving the breakfast menu directly on selected wall tiles, preferably large-format ones.

Just before leaving, all present had the opportunity to participate in the MISS KACHLIČKA election. Based on the counted votes, this title was won in Prague by a finalist from the DÉCHIRER (60×60) series from the producer MUTINA, while in Brno, the winner was a tile measuring 50x50 from COTTO d'ESTE. Both winners are currently enjoying their vacation in the tiles of the famous French Riviera. The voting was conducted according to valid rules, with the only complication caused by the five-year-old daughter of one of the architects, who drew a stylized bunny on the ballot.
