A lack of light causes depression and fatigue. In winter, when the days are short and the sun sets too early, these difficulties are even more common than ever. People thus have to use much more artificial light at home, as the daylight that comes into the house through standard windows is far from sufficient. At the Roofs Prague Fair (February 7-9, 2019), the VELUX company will showcase ways in which people can brighten their homes.
More light into the house can be brought by quality roof windows, which no longer need to be located only in attics. "At the fair, we will show people that roof windows have their place even in bungalows with truss construction," stated Klára Bukolská, the chief architect of VELUX.
VELUX will also be part of the Wood Festival, where the company's project manager will give daily lectures on brightening bungalows with truss construction. VELUX will also participate in the SUSO Crafts Competition Exhibition. Customer center specialist Martin Masár, along with apprentices, will work on the complete preparation of the roof structure and the subsequent installation of the roof window into the prepared truss.
Additionally, the company will showcase the VELUX ACTIVE system at the fair, an innovative technology that automatically cares for the household and the health of its residents. The system can time the opening and closing of windows, as well as rolling down blinds and shutters automatically through smart sensors, thus creating a healthier environment. Users can easily control everything remotely via smartphone. At the VELUX booth, people will have the opportunity to try out the technology. Experts on-site will advise people on how to easily electrify already installed roof windows.
