The Swedish architectural firm Murman Architects was established in 1985 and has since built a very good reputation both in Sweden and in other countries. The company approaches its projects with typical creativity and playfulness, whether it be residential housing, offices, interior design, or the renovation of buildings and commercial interiors. The concept of innovation in the language of architects and designers at Murman does not mean being original at all costs, but lies in the communication of space and the people who inhabit it. And this comes through an emphasis on details.
The proto architectural office uses software for drawing designs AutoCAD LT. This product from Autodesk allows the office to capture the characteristic appearance of details in 2D drawings, which can also benefit from compatibility with the software AutoCAD. Even though the Murman studio is currently transitioning to the BIM method with support from the software Autodesk Revit Architecture, it will continue to use AutoCAD LT as a compatible tool for creating 2D drawings.

Restaurant Tusen is one of the recent designs that is characterized by its creativity and attention to detail typical of the Murman studio. It is a 125-seat restaurant with a circular floor plan primarily intended for skiers in the Swedish resort of Ramundeberget. The exterior of the restaurant evokes the elegant simplicity of nature, while the interior represents thoughtful comfort. The reputation of the completed building soon transcended the horizons of Swedish ski slopes and in 2009 it won first place in its category at the World Architecture Festival in Barcelona.

Murman Architects used AutoCAD LT for this project, from conceptual design to project documentation, including the design of all important details, particularly emphasizing the harmony of the building with the mountain surroundings – in shape, appearance and materials used. The restaurant building is visible from afar and attracts visitors both in sunny weather and during snow showers thanks to the fireplaces located inside the restaurant.
In addition to supporting the building design process, AutoCAD LT also met the needs of interior designers.

The use of AutoCAD LT within the project further enabled the office to:
· Incorporate typical, later awarded details into the design
· Collaborate in a team across all disciplines
· Achieve the accuracy necessary for designing a building with a circular floor plan
· Use one tool for conceptual design, detail creation, and interior design.

The AutoCAD LT software provides our team with a simple and flexible way to draw and detail designs,” said Hjalmar Mann, an architect from Murman Architects. “At the same time, it supports the creation of new ideas that our architects, designers, and interior designers can develop within a single tool.”

Project Facts:
· Building area: 372 m²
· Capacity: 125 seats
· Prefabricated wooden structure
· Built between 2008 – 2009
· Total costs including planning and furnishing of the building: 12 million SEK (approximately 33 million CZK)
