Shape creations in the new Barrisol showroom

The Prague Studio pha by Jan Šesták and Marek Deyl is among the most progressive global authors working with Barrisol material. They have now designed a showroom in Prague for the Czech distributor of this special foil. It showcases the endless shape possibilities of the material.

The bold shape creations of Studio pha made of polyvinyl foil from France have been seen by visitors at many trade fairs and exhibitions around the world. Barrisol, due to its unique properties, offers enormous versatility: it can be made into a perfectly flat and smooth ceiling, as well as organic shapes that no other material can achieve.

After more than ten years of working with this material, Marek Deyl and Jan Šesták designed a showroom near Prague for the Czech distributor of Barrisol. In previous years, organically shaped exhibition stands for companies like Lasvit or Scott have been successful at trade fairs and exhibitions around the world.

"We have been collaborating with CS Lyon, the exclusive distributor of Barrisol foil, for many years and the Czech implementations are among the best globally. When José Soriano, the owner of CS Lyon, approached us with an offer to design the Prague showroom, we were naturally happy to accept," says Marek Deyl about the beginnings of the design. "Our concept is based on a geometric structure in the interior, made of Clipso and Barrisol materials. Conceptually, it's an open space where not only the Barrisol team works but also serves as a meeting place for architects and designers, a space where the materials of this French company are presented live," adds the architect.

The opening of the Barrisol showroom and production hall in Klíčany near Prague marks the completion of 25 years of Barrisol's presence in the Czech market. The new larger spaces of the showroom and production hall covering 900 m² allow for the production of more complex structures; the showroom presents a wide range of ceilings and solutions.
