An updated version of the Recommendations for the construction, reconstruction, and furnishing of libraries has been published

We would like to inform you that the electronic version of Recommendations for the Construction, Reconstruction, and Furnishing of Libraries has been released, which was created as part of the activities of the Methodological Center for the Construction and Reconstruction of Libraries. The document was prepared by a team of authors consisting of Lenka Dostálová, Vít Richter, and Marie Šedá, along with the studio ATREA spol. s r. o.

The new version builds on the original edition from 2012 and reflects the current needs of libraries, technological development, and the changing role of libraries in the community and cultural life of municipalities. It now includes chapters dedicated to the exteriors of libraries, ergonomics, safety, the creation of library concepts, visual identity, and ecological and environmental aspects of operation.

The electronic document is freely available for download on the website of the Methodological Center for the Construction and Reconstruction of Libraries.
