From July 23 to 31, 2025, the Cabin Fever international summer school will take place in Česká Kamenice, organized by the Hello Wood studio. The eight-day program will be held at the site of a former textile factory surrounded by nature – an ideal place for hands-on learning, architectural experiments, and community collaboration.
Cabin Fever connects architecture students and young professionals from around the world. Under the guidance of five international studios, participants will design and build wooden cabins and temporary installations. Teamwork, sharing experiences, and learning through practice are the foundation of the entire design-build program.
The theme for 2025 "Quality Time – Connection Between People" invites reflection on how we live and design in a fast-paced and fragmented world. It emphasizes the need for slowing down, presence, and space for meaningful moments with others. Cabin Fever is not just about what is created, but also how and with whom.
