DEKSTONE přírodní kámen s.r.o.

Natural stone is one of the oldest building materials. Its traditional status in construction has been earned thanks to a combination of high durability, longevity, functionality, timeless aesthetic properties, and its presence around the world. The popularity of natural stone does not decrease even today, when architects and builders choose it for the possibility of combining its proven properties with new innovative methods.

Stone can also meet the current challenges of architecture and construction related to sustainability and minimizing environmental impact. Although natural stone is not a renewable material in the strictest sense, its strong point in this regard lies in its durability and longevity. Appropriately designed, implemented, and maintained applications of natural stone have practically the same lifespan as the building itself. Moreover, stone that has already served its purpose on site can be recycled and reused, or further processed through new technological processes and innovations. Natural stone is also generally locally available, although in this respect, the selection of local sources will always be a compromise within the available types of stone.

At DEKSTONE, we believe that natural stone has a supreme position among building materials as a traditional, durable, authentic, and above all beautiful material, and these properties predispose it to a very wide range of applications in accordance with current functional, design, and ecological requirements and trends.

Afternoon with Stone

Although natural stone is a material tested by millennia and could seem like something stable and conservative by its nature, new trends and innovations in the types offered, surface finishes, and processing methods are constantly emerging in the world of stone, allowing it to remain a 100% contemporary material. For these reasons, we regularly organize excursions combined with workshops for architects, designers, developers, and other professionals in the field, known as "Afternoon with Stone." During this informal event, we aim to combine the presentation of various types and varieties of stone with raising awareness of their technical properties and utilization possibilities.

Afternoon with Stone takes place directly at the DEKSTONE premises in Šestajovice near Prague. The program starts with presentations of interesting construction details and applications from natural stone. During the event, you will also take a look into our stock of slabs (large-format unprocessed stone slabs), and there is also a glimpse into the production area, where slabs are processed according to the type of project. The event includes a workshop with a practical demonstration of the mechanical and chemical properties of stone. However, we will spend the most time in our showroom, a space suitable for light refreshments and discussions, whether with colleagues from the field or with us, over the displayed samples of different types of materials and innovative surfaces. We will also discuss technical solutions.

If you, your colleagues, or your entire studio, perhaps as part of a team-building activity, want to learn about current trends in the world of natural stone, please write to us at [email protected]. We tailor the course of the excursion to the size and composition of the group.

Inspiration with Your Own Eyes

We can best bring the authenticity of natural stone to life in one of our showrooms. The showroom in Šestajovice near Prague is part of the main building of the company headquarters. Here, we present a wide palette of exotic and traditional natural stone materials, both slabs for subsequent stone processing and finished products such as formatted or assembled cladding and paving. However, the showroom is primarily a place of inspiration and connection between practical and aesthetic elements. You can draw inspiration from a wide range of colors, materials, textures, and surface finishes. You will find everything from more subtle stones suitable for extensive facades or paving to unique designer onyxes and marbles with a relief surface that resemble pieces of art. Technical types are pleased to showcase constructions made from natural stone. The showroom also includes a client zone, which is ideal for your meetings with clients and discussing project details directly over selected materials. Professional consultation and assisted tours of the stock, where the latest pieces often appear, are of course included.

You can find our second showroom in the Housing and Design Center Kaštanová in Brno. Although it is noticeably smaller, it still offers a wide representation of natural stone. There are samples of large-format slabs and examples of interesting stone details. There is also space for meetings with clients and our professional consultation.

We look forward to seeing you!
