Scouts in Skuteč have a new clubhouse, which will also be used by the students of the school

Skuteč (Chrudimsko) – At the garden of the Komenského Primary School in Skuteč, in the Chrudim region, scouts opened a new clubhouse at the beginning of January. They moved into it from inadequate space in the courtyard of one of the buildings in the city center, Zuzana Nováková from the governor's office stated in a press release.

Construction began in November 2023, and its architectural design was created by a member of the local scouting center, architect Petra Kocourková. The modern building is located on the school garden and, by agreement, it will also serve the students of the school during the morning hours. The main hall has an acoustic ceiling and is suitable for smaller musical programs. It also includes an indoor climbing wall, a so-called boulder, with tilting options. Additional spaces feature three smaller and one large clubroom, a kitchen with seating, storage rooms, and restrooms.

The total budget reached 14.5 million crowns. The clubhouse was primarily made possible thanks to a grant from the Ministry of Education, as well as collaboration with the city, Pardubice Region, and other donors.
