Bus station Mnichovo Hradiště

The bus terminal is a natural extension of the public spaces of the city at the border of the garden district and the train station complex. A natural square between the elegant station building and the pub with a corner bay window at the intersection of the city's green axes. This way, while traveling on an excursion or waiting for a connection, one can stay under new or preserved mature trees. In the main area, comfortable cut paving, with recycled roads, and sidewalks made of mosaic.
The amenities include lockable Bike+Ride stands, Park+Ride stands within the street space, an electronic information system, and custom-made furniture including shelters.
The project was created based on an invited competition in response to the city's need to relocate the existing terminal (including the removal from the square) and to improve the transfer connections between different modes of transport.
