Residential building Residence Staropramenná

The residential building with 57 rental apartments and commercial spaces is located in the Smíchov courtyard, in close proximity to the Anděl metro station. The new construction of the residential building replaced two original, already inadequate structures. The building has an L-shaped floor plan and connects to neighboring structures along its rear wall. It features two communication cores with staircases and elevators, which are interconnected in the basement. The residential units are oriented to the south and east.

The typical architectural expression of the seven-story building consists of a white plaster grid combined with brick strips, generous glazing, and recessed balconies, with two setback floors. The eastern façade is serrated in the balconies to ensure better sunlight for the apartments. The setback floors, executed in gray patinated plaster, create spacious rooftop terraces complemented by pergola frames. The architectural expression of the façade refers to the industrial history of Smíchov with its forms and materials.

On the ground floor of the building are rental commercial spaces, and parking spaces are located in the southern part. The courtyard's ground floor has been modified for pedestrian movement and car parking, complemented by trees.

The load-bearing structure of the building is designed in a combination of reinforced concrete and lime-sand masonry. The façades feature wooden windows with triple glazing. The windows are equipped with exterior blinds. The railings of the balconies are steel with perforated sheet infill, while the terraces have glass infill. The residential units have central cooling. The building's heating is hot water-based, with a gas boiler and cogeneration unit serving as the heat source for heating and domestic hot water preparation.
